Lose Weight Slowly

Losing weight isn’t about speed, so don’t push yourself at the gym. In fact, it’s actually better if you lose weight slowly rather than quickly. When you lose weight in a short period of time, your skin is more likely to sag. Losing weight slowly, however, allows your body to adjust and your skin to react. A good rule of thumb is to lose no more than two pounds per week to prevent your skin from sagging.

Drink Plenty of Water

You can also promote tight skin when losing weight by drinking plenty of water. Dehydration — something from which two-thirds of American suffer — affects the skin in several ways. First, it makes skin less elastic. Secondly, it causes it to crack and peel. These effects can amplify the risk of sagging weight. The good news is that you can easily avoid dehydration by drinking plenty of water throughout the day. Some experts recommend drinking eight, 8-ounce glasses of water per day, though it really depends on your body chemistry and activity levels.

Moisturize

Don’t underestimate the importance of moisturizing your skin when losing weight, especially if you want to keep it tight. A high-quality moisturizing cream or lotion will further hydrate your skin while protecting it from injury caused by stretching. Moisturizers containing aloe vera gel have also been shown to help prevent sagging skin.

The key thing to remember is that you need to moisturize your entire body, not just your face. Apply the moisturizing cream or lotion to your body at least once daily to promote tight skin. These are just a few tips to keep your skin tight when losing weight.
